Environmental Care

We are constantly innovating to find better ways to care for our environment. During their stay, our guests can enjoy the following sustainable initiatives:

Purified Water Dispensers

We provide purified water dispensers and reusable bottles for guest use—both within the hotel and for outdoor excursions. Thanks to this initiative, we’ve eliminated the use of plastic water bottles.

For context: in 2024, Hotel Costa Australis hosted 43,483 guests. If we had continued to offer two plastic bottles per guest, as we did in the past, we would have used nearly 100,000 plastic bottles in just one year.

Digital Experience

We offer guests a fully digital experience, including QR codes to access our restaurant menus and our Digital Concierge—a complete guide featuring room-use instructions, local activities, and dining recommendations. This initiative has allowed us to eliminate a significant portion of our paper usage.

Eco-Friendly Amenities

We use biodegradable, eco-friendly amenities presented in refillable containers, reducing single-use plastic. This change has eliminated over 15,000 individual plastic bottles per year—bottles that no longer end up in landfills or nature.

 

In-House Laundry

We handle all hotel linen washing in our own laundry facilities, ensuring that it is done every three nights of stay, rather than daily as in the past. We also use biodegradable and environmentally friendly products for all our laundry processes.

Promoting Bicycle Use

We encourage eco-friendly transportation through the availability of bicycles for our guests—offering a green and healthy way to explore the city and its surroundings.
